Doors open at 6 p.m. The final candidates for Raleigh's next police chief will be present at this event. The conversation will be moderated by Adrienne Cole, President and CEO of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, and Tiesha Mosley, Raleigh's Director of Community Engagement. To suggest a question for this conversation, take the online survey. Multiple events are happening at the Martin Marietta Performing Arts Center this evening. The entrance to Fletcher Theater is on the left section of the building. Look for an event sign to help. Security screening is used at this venue and includes a metal detector. Watch the Raleigh Police Department compete against the Raleigh Fire Department in a friendly hockey game! The event is free. Donations will be accepted at the door and online. All proceeds will benefit Officer Gillick, who was injured in an officer-involved shooting in January of this year. This outreach effort helps amplify local voices, strengthen connections, and keep Southeast Raleigh informed and prepared. Event Highlights: Free NOAA weather radio distribution Community resource information Distribution and training sessions will be held every 30 minutes from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Come learn how we’re working together to support our community. When distributing the radios, the City will give priority to vulnerable neighborhoods. You need to attend an event in person to receive a radio.
