Celebrate Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week 2023 in Raleigh! National Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week is a special week in the month of October, observed in the United States to recognize and celebrate the achievements and contributions of the minority and women-owned business enterprise community. The City's MWBE program is hosting a MED Week Celebration Brunch to recognize the achievements and impacts of minority and women-owned businesses across North Carolina that have contributed to City projects. When? Saturday, October 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Where? John Chavis Community Center, 505 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd Join us for a brunch, panel discussion, networking, and more! If you’re a newcomer to the Raleigh area or lived here a long time and it’s been a while since you’ve looked at our bus transportation routes and options, it might be time to reevaluate taking a bus! Raleigh Parks is teaming up with the staff of GoRaleigh to offer a program to teach you to navigate our bus system and learn about apps that can help you along the way! On Thursday, Oct. 26, we will offer two sessions for navigating our bus system. We will meet up at Green Road Community Center and travel aboard the local route. GoRaleigh will be there to answer questions and offer advice. Ages: All (Youth will need adult supervision)Cost: Free Register for Learn to Use GoRaleigh
