    Join the Raleigh Human Relations Commission for the annual National Day of Racial Healing Event! Launched in 2017, the National Day of Racial Healing is a national observance on the Tuesday after Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This event is an opportunity to bring ALL people together and inspire collective action to build common ground for a better world. This year’s event will feature a panel discussion, a collective mural painting, and free food and drink. Language support will be provided.   • Mardi Gras Masquerade Prom for Adults

    After the success of last year's Holly Jolly Raleigh Prom for Adults, tickets are now available for our Mardi Gras Masquerade Prom for Adults on Feb. 7, 2026! We’re hosting a vibrant, masquerade-style evening where adults (21+) can get glammed up and celebrate Mardi Gras in style with music, masks, and magic all night long. Attendees will dance the night away to beats from our DJ, sip on adult beverages from local vendors at our cash bar, enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and indulge in festive mocktails crafted by talented mixologists on-site. Every registration supports the Raleigh Parks Play It Forward Financial Assistance Program, helping individuals and families play for a lifetime.   • Let’s Make Valentines

    February is the time to send a special note to the ones you love. Valentines are extra special when they are made by you! Paper, ribbons, stickers, lace, and more will be provided. Each person can make up to 5 Valentines. This is a drop-in event for all ages, and adults are welcome! Light snacks will be available, or you may bring your own dinner. Please let staff know at least 2 days in advance if your participant has allergies or special dietary concerns. Please register on RecLink so we can plan accordingly.     Hop on over to Brier Creek Community Center to experience The Bunny Bash! You’ll enjoy stations of arts, crafts, games, and snacks for the whole family.  There will even be a chance to capture a picture with the Bunny himself!  By visiting all stations, all kids will receive a goodie bag to go, while supplies last.  This event is indoors and free for all.  Don’t miss out on the fun!
