  • When and How does Raleigh Vote? – POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER- NEW DATE TBD

    POSTPONED DUE TO ICY WEATHER - NEW DATE TBD - STAY SAFE WHAT CHANGES ARE COMING TO RALEIGH ELECTIONS? AND WHAT DO RALEIGH VOTERS CARE ABOUT? The next election for Raleigh Mayor and City Council will be held November 3, 2026. But there’s a brand-new primary election first, on March 3, 2026. With a deadline for candidates to file and get on the ballot THIS YEAR — by December 19, 2025. That’s right: To run in 2026, you must file with the Board of Elections by noon on December 19, 2025. Join Livable Raleigh Advisory Committee Members and our guest Elections Expert Gerry Cohen on Monday, December 8, from 7-8:30pm at Jaycee Park, 2405 Wade Avenue to learn all the details. We will also be presenting professional polling results showing what Raleigh voters care about.  If you are unable to join us on December 8, a video recording will be made available after the meeting.   • Hillsborough-Wade CAC featuring At-Large City Council Candidate Forum

    Hi CAC neighbors, The Hillsborough-Wade CAC will be hosting an At-Large City Council Candidate Forum two weeks from today, on Tuesday, January 27th at 7:00 PM on Zoom (link at the bottom of this email). Please put this event on your calendar! As you may know, Raleigh will have a non-partisan primary on March 3rd (early voting is February 12 to 28) and a general election on November 3rd. There will be only two primary races this year: At-Large and District C. Both of those races require a primary due to the number of candidates running. The At-Large City Council race has six candidates running: James Bledsoe Joshua Bradley Stormie Denise Forte (incumbent City Councilor) Clark Rinehart Sana Siddiqui Cameron Zamot Click on any of the above candidates’ names to visit their website.
