At the June 3, 2025, City Council meeting, Council shared concerns about the general condition of crosswalks markings, with specific reference to the poor condition of crosswalk markings along a section of Six Forks Road. These markings are currently being refreshed through a North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) re-paving project. Additionally, Council expressed interest in learning more about the pavement marking program, including the cycle of replacement and associated costs. --- C.     MEETING CALLED TO ORDER BY THE CHAIR ITEMS TO BE DISCUSSED B.1 Fayetteville Street Streetscape Plan Ken Bowers, Planning and Development . At the September 23rd Economic Development and Innovation Committee meeting, staff delivered a presentation outlining a multi-phased implementation strategy for the Fayetteville Street Streetscape Plan and discussed preliminary cost implications. Per Committee direction, staff have obtained additional detailed cost estimates and prepared phasing options, along with recommendations for additional placemaking and public art along Fayetteville Street, City Plaza, and Market Plaza. --- Recommended Action: Receive as information and provide feedback on preferred implementation strategy.
