Join us at the Downtown Mobility Projects Open House on May 6 to review early concepts and share your feedback. What to Expect Engage with city staff and consultants on design for three priority downtown bike corridors (Morgan Street, Lenoir Street, Peace Street). Review concepts and ask questions for all three bike corridors. Provide feedback on preliminary concepts and values along the corridor. Kids enjoy games and activities, and you enjoy light refreshements. This is a FREE event. And while you're there, check out our friends at Oaks & Spokes who will be hosting their annual Bike Rodeo near the playground!

Blount St. Raleigh, NC Find Community Engagement at Darkness RISING: LIVE 9, Raleigh’s high-energy Arts & Mental Health Block Party celebrating wellness, the arts, and community. More than an event, it’s a movement rooted in collective care and joy. Attendees will enjoy a live concert featuring The Voice’s NiiTO Band, a DJ, vendors, wellness workshops, interactive art, kids’ activities, giveaways, and more. Residents will have the opportunity to: Learn about projects impacting your community; Sign up for activities and classes, including our FREE English Language programs; Get assistance navigating our website and services; and, Much more!

Blue Ridge Road South is Complete! The City is excited to celebrate the completion of the Blue Ridge Road South project with a ribbon-cutting event! We made improvements to Blue Ridge Road between Duraleigh Road and Homewood Banks Drive. Key features include new sidewalks, a multi-use path, and roadway upgrades. Explore the project page for features and project details!  Art and Poetry Along the Corridor The Public Artist team, Marino Heidel, created sculptures at nine locations throughout the corridor. Taking inspiration from nine of North Carolina's poet laureates, the artists designed each sculpture as a visual interpretation of the poems. The project is a poetry walk experience along the corridor, with poems at each site. Participating Poet Laureates include: Jackie Shelton Green, Shelby Stephenson, Joseph Bathanti, Cathy Smith Bowers, Kathryn Stripling Byer, Fred Davis Chappell, Sam Ragan, James Larkin Pearson, and Arthur Talmage Abernathy.
