The artists are looking for feedback as they begin developing public art for the new GoRaleigh/GoWake Access Transit Facility. This is an opportunity to share your ideas, experiences, and perspectives to help inspire artwork centered on universal design and accessibility. Whether you're an access transit rider, disability advocate, caregiver, or community member, your voice will help inform a welcoming and inclusive public art experience for everyone.   • Public Art for All: Senior Voices & Universal Design

    Help shape the future of accessible public art in Raleigh! Join Raleigh Arts and artist team Wowhaus for a special community engagement event designed with seniors and older adults in mind. Come share your experiences and ideas to help inspire new public art for the GoRaleigh/GoWake Access Transit Facility. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their experiences with transportation, accessibility, and community spaces while helping shape an artwork focused on universal design and inclusion. Your stories, perspectives, and creativity will play an important role in creating a welcoming public art experience that reflects the needs and voices of Raleigh’s senior community.     The City of Raleigh is offering Advice About Your Device Drop-In Hours. Whether you have a simple question about how to work your device or have long-term digital goals, attend our drop-in hours to get assistance and learn more. Drop-in hours will be held June - August at two Raleigh locations. There is no registration required for this FREE resource.   • Packapalooza at NC State University

Packapalooza is NC State’s signature all-day block party and street festival, capping off Wolfpack Welcome Week on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026 from 2 to 10 p.m. This vibrant event, held on Hillsborough Street, brings together NC State students, faculty, staff, alums, families, and the local community to kick off the academic year with music, entertainment, family-friendly activities, food, and all things Wolfpack. This year’s festival will feature an eclectic mix of live music and performances across multiple stages, along with a grand finale of fireworks at the Belltower main stage. A cherished tradition attracting over 90,000 attendees, Packapalooza features more than 350 vendor booths and is supported by over 60 sponsoring organizations. Presented by Live It Up!     Raleigh Parks’ Moore Square, in partnership with @Get2KnowRaleigh, welcomes back the First Friday Market & Movie Night series for the 2026 season. This free monthly event brings the community together for local vendors, food trucks, live music, and a featured outdoor movie in the heart of downtown Raleigh. Unite as we honor those lost on 9/11 with acts of service. Volunteers will learn about a variety of worthy causes and make impacts at service project stations.   • Activate Good’s 9/11 Day of Service & Remembrance Event

    On September 11, 2026, Activate Good will lead its annual 9/11 Day of Service & 25th Anniversary Remembrance Event, transforming a day of tragedy into a powerful day of unity, service, resilience, and hope. Hundreds of volunteers will gather across the Triangle to honor the victims, survivors, first responders, military members, and everyday heroes of September 11 through meaningful acts of service. In partnership with the City of Raleigh, Activate Good will host its signature Remembrance Event at John Chavis Memorial Park, bringing the community together for hands-on service projects, a Community Connections Fair, remarks from local leaders, and opportunities to support critical needs across our community.
