The City of Raleigh is hosting an information session for general contractors to learn about how to bid for City projects. We are seeking licensed general contractors to work on residential rehabilitation and capital improvement projects for the City's affordable housing portfolio. City staff will be on hand to explain some of the features we can install along the street and get your input on the ones you want to see the most. This is an informal drop-in- style event. Join us and let us know how we can enhance your neighborhood street. This is a family-friendly event with activities for the kids!

Let’s Discuss Rezoning for the New Bern Avenue Transit Overlay District  Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) stations are planned along New Bern Avenue. Zoning changes are proposed to add the Transit Overlay District (TOD) to the zoning map along the future New Bern Avenue Bus Rapid Transit route. The TOD requires walkable development in core areas around transit routes and incentivizes the inclusion of affordable housing units in new buildings. During the meeting you can expect to learn about: What will happen during the rezoning process. Which properties are included in the proposed rezoning. What would actually happen to the properties once rezoned.

The City of Raleigh invites all community organizations, neighborhood residents, business organizations, and other stakeholders to share their input on the draft 2023-24 Annual Action Plan (AAP). FY2023-2024 Draft Annual Action Plan FY2023-2024 Draft Annual Action Plan Summary  The AAP describes how the City of Raleigh intends to allocate housing and community development funds in the upcoming fiscal year. Fiscal Year 2023-2024 is the fourth year of the 2021-2025 Five-Year Consolidated Plan (ConPlan). The City must submit an Annual Action Plan for every year of the ConPlan, describing how this year’s activities will address the long-term housing and community development goals identified in the ConPlan. The Annual Action Plan identifies strategies, resources, and organizations that can help advance key priorities in the coming year.
