The Raleigh Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities will host the Raleigh Department of Transportation to hear important updates about the GoRaleigh Access program such as the return to fares and implementation of the Transit Assistance Pass for GoRaleigh Access. There will also be time for questions about the GoRaleigh Access Program. Registration is not required for this meeting, but please consider submitting any questions you have about the GoRaleigh Access Program in advance. Please arrive to the meeting 15-30 minutes early. Meeting Accessibility There are two parking lots for the Chavis Community Center. The parking lot behind the building has more accessible parking spots via Chavis Way. Two ASL Interpreters will be present, and CART captions will be provided. Please email ADA@raleighnc.gov to submit any other accommodations request by Monday, August 12. Transportation: Many of you joining this meeting are GoRaleigh Access customers. We are expecting a high volume of requests for this event. The Police Advisory Board serves as a liaison between the Raleigh community and City Council. The Sustainability Wildlife and Urban Trees Committee a standing committee of the Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board will meet in the Raleigh Municipal Building, 222 W. Hargett Street, Conference Room 303 at 4:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month.

The Fair Housing Hearing Board works to improve public awareness of the City's Fair Housing Ordinance, which prohibits discrimination in housing opportunities on the basis of race, color, religion, family status, disability, national origin or sex. The Commission will hold it's annual retreat at 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23 at the Mordecai Visitor Center where the work program will be set for the upcoming year.
