Art Contest" will be on display in the Pullen Arts Center’s Youth & Teen Gallery from Saturday, April 20-Saturday, May 11, 2024.  The opening reception will be held at the Pullen Arts Center Saturday, April 27, from 2:30-4:30 pm. Two-dimensional and Three-dimensional works will be on display on the first floor. Additional artworks will be displayed via projection on the second floor during the reception. The Capture it! Asian Joy Mural Unveiling

Celebrate the unveiling of the Asian Joy Mural and oral history project by artists Isabel Lu, Ina Liu, and Sophie To on Sunday, July 21 at the Grand Hall at Raleigh Union Station. This free and public event offers a unique opportunity to engage with oral histories of the AANHPI diaspora in North Carolina, exploring the convergence of Asianness, Southernness and community and highlighting how these experiences contribute to joy. Join us for the unveiling of the new mural, and learn more about the stories and people behind it. Block Gallery Artist Talk

Block Gallery will host a public artist talk with the featured artists of the plants, birds, and rocks (and things) exhibition on Wednesday, August 21, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Artists Claire Alexandre, Annie Blazejack and Geddes Levenson, Julia Einstein, Janet Link, and Scott Hazard will discuss the aspects of nature, examinations of human relationships with nature, and approaches to making art that inform their work. Rubberside Down Exhibit Opening

"Rubberside Down: A Celebration of Cycling, Creativity, and Community" "Rubberside Down: A Celebration of Cycling, Creativity, and Community" “Rubberside Down” is an in-gallery exhibit featuring local artists Leigh Ramsdell, Dave Green, Sarah Hammond, Zach Storm, and Minori Sanchiz-Fung. The exhibition will open with a free event on Saturday, October 5th, 2-6 p.m. The October 5 opening event will feature a pump track for riding built by Leigh Ramsdell & Dave Green, inflatables created by Katie Stewart, a one-day invitation-only bike show and group ride by Oaks and Spokes, Munjo Munjo as vendor, a walking open studio map, and an in-gallery month long exhibit showcasing artists alongside their work and bikes.
