South St., Raleigh, NC 27603 Cost: Free and open to the public About Asian Joy Asian Joy is an oral history and community-driven mural project created by Ina Liu, Isabel Lu, and Sophie Tô. The project will use storytelling and public art to support the well-being and belonging of our pan-ethnic Asian American (AA) community in North Carolina. First, AA oral histories that center on finding joy will be collected and publicly archived; then, using these stories, the team will work with the community to create a mural and install it at a public location in North Carolina. This project is supported by SEEK Raleigh, an experimental public art program by Raleigh Arts. Projects should engage with the community in City of Raleigh parks, greenways, and/or community spaces.
