As part of SEEK Raleigh, Artist Kiana Renee has created an immersive, community-centered arts experience in celebration of National Poetry Month. A Walk with Poetry is designed to highlight and uplift Raleigh's vibrant poetry community. Encounter live poetry performances at designated stops along Shelley Lake and listen to featured performers in the Pecan Grove (located near the trail entrance). “Continuum: Classical to Contemporary Islamic Art,” is a group exhibit curated by Public and Community Artist Kulsum Tasnif that celebrates process, reverence, and renewal within Islamic art. It gathers Muslim American artists working across traditional and contemporary forms – from Tezhip (illumination), Arabic calligraphy and Islamic geometry, to new works inspired by these classical disciplines.
