Hi Central CAC neighbors, Our third organizing meeting to reactivate Raleigh’s Central CAC is one week from today: Monday, August 24th at 7:00 PM. Place and time of our Central CAC meeting: • Tarboro Road Community Center • Monday, August 24th • 7:00 PM Agenda: • Chavis-Dix Strollway presentation • Vote on board nominations for the Central CAC • Vote to approve CAC bylaws (We could have a police report at the start of the meeting, not sure yet.) Chavis-Dix Strollway (yellow dots) will connect with the South Park Heritage Trail (gray dots). The Chavis-Dix Strollway is envisioned as a walkable, urban cultural trail, designed to safely connect pedestrians between the city’s heritage sites of downtown – the Dorothea Dix Park and the John Chavis Memorial Park. As the second cultural trail of Raleigh, it builds on the South Park Heritage Trail elements to continue the storytelling to celebrate Raleigh’s rich cultural heritage.
