Wake Bus Rapid Transit Industry Day

Chavis Community Center 505 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Raleigh

We are holding an Industry Day for the Wake Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)—New Bern Avenue Project. The event is for construction contractors and subcontractors interested in bidding on the City’s BRT projects. It will take place on Monday, January 27th, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chavis Community Center, 505 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27601. The purpose of this event is to Provide project updates to potential contractors Gather feedback on past bidding efforts for this project Hear your insights as we prepare for the next round of bidding in Spring 2025 We will have networking opportunities, an interactive feedback session to help us improve our work with contractors and informational material on the BRT projects in our pipeline.

Hybrid Midtown Citizens Advisory Council (CAC) Meeting

Happy New Year, I hope that everyone had an enjoyable holiday. Best wishes for a happy, healthy and safe New Year. In addition to our normal updates on local police activities and community updates, we will have Tiesha Mosely, Director of Community Engagement as our guest in January. As I previously mentioned,  the Community Engagement and Housing and Neighborhoods groups merged at the end of 2024. This will be an opportunity to learn more about the merger and the anticipated benefits to the residents of Raleigh. As is customary, we will also have our local Councilors (Christina Jones and Mitchell Silver) present to provide updates on items of interest to the community. This will also be an opportunity to meet our former candidate and now our newly elected District A Councilor, Mitchell Silver. We will continue to conduct our meeting in a hybrid format with both in person and(preferred) and virtual audiences.
