Provide Your Input on the City’s Affordable Housing and Community Development Needs for 2026-2027

Each year, the City of Raleigh receives funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These funds are used for affordable housing initiatives. Initiatives include creating affordable rental and homeownership housing, helping those experiencing or at-risk of homelessness, providing public services to persons with low- and moderate-incomes, and supporting community development needs.

The City of Raleigh is projected to get $4.5 million in federal funding next year. We need your input on how to use it!

The FY2026-2027 Action Plan Draft is ready to review and available for public comment through April 15.

Attend a Public Meeting to Learn More and Make Your Voice Heard

The City of Raleigh Housing and Community Development Department will host two public meetings and a Public Hearing to receive input from the community on the draft 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan. Join us in person or virtually at one of the dates below:

  • In Person – Tuesday, March 17
    6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

  • Virtual – Thursday, March 19
    6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

    To speak at the public hearing, please sign up by 5:00 PM on the Friday before the hearing. Visit the City of Raleigh Public Hearings web page for more information. You may also call the Clerk’s office at 919-996-3040 to sign up.

    Accessibility and Language Services

    Interpreter services (including American Sign Language) and accommodations for persons with disabilities or limited English proficiency are available at no cost with advance notice. Please allow at least five (5) business days for arrangements. Requests may be submitted via the City’s Public Hearings web page or by contacting the City Clerk’s Office.
