Residents,
I previously mentioned that we would not have a speaker for our upcoming meeting. That has changed. We will have Robert Rice, Chairman of the Raleigh CAC as our guest speaker. I have provided updates in the past and we have completed surveys to help us guide our further association with the City. Robert will provide an update to those efforts.
As you may recall, all CACs belong to the larger organization, Raleigh CAC or RCAC. In addition, Councilor Christina Jones, is now our Council liaison to facilitate effective communication between our organization and City Council.
In other news, Sarah Shaugnessy, City Planning, has provided further information and City web site links about Reflecting Raleigh, our next Comprehensive Plan update. While I would have preferred an in person update, she has provided the following information:
“We have made all of our in-person Community Conversation events accessible online for anyone who was not able to attend. All of the community conversation events were recorded and are available for viewing on Raleigh’s YouTube Chanel. We welcome you and other Midtown CAC members to view them and share your thoughts though our related surveys. I have linked these resources below for ease of access. We will use all of this online community engagement to guide the development of the plan in phase II.
If you wish to speak to a staff member one-on-one, I would encourage you to attend one of our upcoming Ask-A-Planner events. The focus is trees and urban ecosystems, but staff are happy to address any questions related to the comprehensive plan. The schedule is below.”
I hope that you find this information helpful. See everyone Monday evening, March 24 at 7:00 at Eastagate Park Community Center or on line virtually.
Regards,
Larry
