The event will be livestreamed on the City YouTube channel. Parking is available in both of the lots located directly across from South Street. There is also parking available in the deck located on the corner of Salisbury and South Streets. Accessible parking spaces are available on the first level of each garage and in the lots. Parking will be free for ceremony attendees.

Come enjoy a fun holiday crafting workshop on how to create kimekomi holiday trees! Kimekomi trees are made from a technique where a pattern is drawn and then cut onto a surface, such as a styrofoam foam form. Fabric is then placed over the pattern and tucked and glued into the cuts. The trees are then decorated with objects such as ribbons and beads. Friends and neighbors: SW Community Holiday Meeting at the Carolina Pines Community Center (2305 Lake Wheeler Rd.) We will meet in person, without streaming, next Monday evening, December 9th, at 7:00 pm. There will be reports from Raleigh Police Officers and City Inspections followed by social time. We also plan to have an update about Carolina Pines Park's facilities additions. I have been told that we can also use the Center's freezer. Therefore, I will, as previously promised, donate some ice cream. Please come and help with the ice cream. Holiday cookies and delights will also be very welcome. Since I have no idea as to how many will attend I don't need to be left with melting cartons and no freezer space. Please bring help. Kids welcome.
