The Text Change Committee is a subcommittee where changes to the zoning code, known as the Unified Development Ordinance, are discussed. This subcommittee reviews the language of any potential code change. The committee typically meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. The meetings are held at the Raleigh Municipal Building in Room 305. Technical Teams are topic-based teams of subject-matter experts who meet to provide guidance and develop policy recommendations for the City’s Next Comprehensive Plan. Five teams will be organized by key topics included in the next plan: Land Use Transportation Housing and Neighborhoods Natural Resources Infrastructure and Services Each Technical Team will include: City staff Representatives from City boards and commissions Technical experts from the Raleigh community
Join Walnut Creek Wetland Park staff for a creek walk! We will take a guided walk through Little Rock Creek, one of Raleigh's many small, precious, and highly impacted streams. We will identify ecological concerns, learn some new ways of seeing our creeks, and get up close and personal with the water that winds its way through our lives. Registration is required. Mayor Janet Cowell will present her annual State of the City address on Wednesday, March 18. Time: 6 p.m. (doors will open at 5:30 p.m.) Location: City of Raleigh Museum, 220 Fayetteville Street, in Downtown Raleigh There will be a live broadcast of the State of the City address on RTN11 (cable channel 11). It will also be livestreamed, with on-demand viewing after the event on the City's YouTube channel. Marsh Creek Community Center is excited to invite community members who want to see and experience our new Urban Farm! Operated and supported in partnership with Raleigh City Farm, our Urban Farm was created in 2025 as a way to grow and distribute fresh produce to members of the Raleigh community. Take a tour, enjoy some fresh produce, chat with the farmers, learn about volunteer opportunities, and meet your neighbors at this drop-in opportunity to see all things going on with our Urban Farm! The welcoming ceremony to officially establish our partnership will be held at 6 p.m. Check in at the lobby of Marsh Creek Community Center when you arrive to start your tour experience. The Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board (PRGAB) will meet in-person in the Raleigh Council Chambers, 222 W. Hargett Street at 6:00 p.m. The Raleigh Parks, Recreation, and Greenway Advisory Board meetings are open to the public. This meeting will be streamed for public viewing - watch meeting. The PRGAB meets on the third Thursday of each month.
