Help Plan the Big Branch Greenway Connector! When complete, the Big Branch Greenway Connector will extend from the existing Crabtree Creek Trail, near Wake Forest Road, to Sandy Forks Road. The greenway will traverse approximately 3.5-miles, primarily adjacent to Big Branch, and is proposed to connect to both Eastgate and Cedar Hills Parks. Help plan this new addition to the Capital Area Greenway System by joining a pop-up event on August 6th, attending an in-person project open house on August 14th, participating in a virtual project open house on August 15th or by completing an online survey that will be open through the month of August. The Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board (PRGAB) will meet in person in the Raleigh Council Chambers, 222 W. Hargett Street at 6:00 p.m. The Raleigh Parks, Recreation, and Greenway Advisory Board meetings are open to the public. This meeting will be streamed for public viewing - watch meeting. Join us for this free event! Our sixth annual celebration of our wetlands and all things muddy and wonderful! There will be activities, food trucks, and of course, a giant mud pit! Come dressed to get messy and wet.
