  • Planning Commission Text Change Committee

    The Text Change Committee is a subcommittee where changes to the zoning code, known as the Unified Development Ordinance, are discussed. This subcommittee reviews the language of any potential code change.   • Community Engagement Attending “Still We Speak”

    NC Freedom Park 218 N. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC

    Community Engagement staff will be attending the "Still We Speak" event. Students from Middle Creek High School's African American Literature and Teaching as a Profession classes have partnered with The African American Heritage Commission and the NC Department of Natural & Cultural Resources to "teach" NC Freedom Park to our community, specifically elders in our community. Students will present research and creative interpretations on the 20 voices of Black North Carolinians featured at the park. The event will run from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 16th.     The Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board (PRGAB) will meet in-person in the Raleigh Council Chambers, 222 W. Hargett Street at 6:00 p.m. The Raleigh Parks, Recreation, and Greenway Advisory Board meetings are open to the public. This meeting will be streamed for public viewing - watch meeting. The PRGAB meets on the third Thursday of each month.
