Dr. Chad Swanson, DO, MPH, and La’Cura Venable, MA, LPN, will discuss the history of St. Agnes Hospital and Dr. Lawson A. Scruggs and how Black medical practitioners broke barriers in the field of medicine despite racism and Jim Crow laws.
