A new exhibit, “African American Musicians of North Carolina,” is coming to the City of Raleigh Museum! Visitors can view the materials from August 4, 2023, through October 29, 2023. The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources created this traveling exhibit to help cultural heritage institutions statewide connect with local communities.

Oxford Road Sidewalk Project — Public Meeting

The City is building a sidewalk along Oxford Road between the existing sidewalk and Reaves Drive and along Reaves Drive to the existing sidewalk on Kenmore Drive. We completed the advanced design plans, and our team wants to share the design with the neighborhood. After extensive work with other divisions and departments, the team has completed the advanced designs. Fabricating Reverence: A Reflective Walk & Performance Experience

Fabricating Reverence, a new performance art piece choreographed and danced by Myra Vincenza, is a collective reflection on loss and grief. Part vigil, part performance, the experience takes place at Lake Johnson Park that begins with a reflective walk (about half a mile) that starts at the Thomas G. Crowder Woodland Center and ends at the Waterfront Center. Fabricating Reverence is presented as part of SEEK Raleigh, an experimental public arts program of Raleigh Arts.
