Its decisions are final but may be subject to court action. The Board consists of eight members: four regular members and two alternate members are appointed to two-year terms by the City Council and must reside within the City limits; one regular member and one alternate are appointed by Wake County Commissioners and must reside within the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction. Battle Ridge Greenway Connector Project

The City is proposing to build two trails to connect the Battle Ridge and the Battle Ridge North neighborhoods to the Neuse River Greenway. Our team has completed the early design plans and we want to share them with you. Join us, for a drop-in style meeting Wednesday, August 16, from 4:30 -6:30 p.m. Barwell Road Community Center 5857 Barwell Park Drive Raleigh, NC 27610 This is a great opportunity  see the plans, ask questions, and give us your feedback. We propose to build two 10-foot-wide asphalt trails. One starts at the end of Mechanicsville Run Lane and runs to the Neuse River Trail at mile marker 20.75, and the other from Mackinac Island Lane to the Neuse River Trail between mile marker 20 and 21. This project is part of the Neighborhood Community Connections Program. The Program identifies, prioritizes, and builds new, walkable connections to parks and greenways.
