    Ride Information Saturday, Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. 16 miles - North Carolina Museum of Art to Shelley Lake and back. View route information Our second ride will be a little longer starting at the North Carolina Museum of Art. From there, we will ride together north toward Shelley Lake, making a couple of stops along the way to imagine where and how public art could be added to this section of the greenway. The pace will be fun and social. Expect to maintain an average of 10 mph.

    The Gospel program at Raleigh Wide Open brings the sounds, stories, and spirit of gospel music to life through dynamic talks at the City of Raleigh Museum. Cultural producer Cardo Grant curates the Gospel Radio Lab, a three-part series tracing gospel radio from its Piedmont roots, through its role in the Civil Rights era, and into its digital-age future. Together, these sessions honor gospel’s enduring power to shape culture, strengthen community, and inspire across generations. Presented by the North Carolina Folklife Institute in partnership with PineCone, with support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the North Carolina Arts Council.   • Stream Monitoring Workshop

    Join Stormwater staff for a training workshop for the stream monitoring program! About the Workshop The course will cover basic stream ecology, how to collect water quality samples, and include time for volunteers to practice sampling in the creek. Please come prepared to get a little wet and muddy in the creek. Long pants and boots are strongly encouraged. Registration for this workshop is required.
