Clean Energy and Renewable Propane Ribbon Cutting

We are excited to announce that the City of Raleigh is moving a portion of its fleet to run on renewable propane. Nearly half of the City’s total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions come from transportation, and reducing vehicle emissions is a critical part of our climate action strategy. Raleigh is mapping out a “clean transportation” future that involves transitioning from fossil fuels to cleaner alternatives like electric vehicles and renewable propane. We invite you to celebrate this significant step in achieving the City’s Community Climate Action Plan. We are holding a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Westinghouse Road fueling station at 2540 Westinghouse Blvd. Parking is available onsite. This event is an excellent opportunity for the public to see some of the vehicles that use renewable propane and to check out some of the other electric and clean energy vehicles in our fleet.
