Joint Raleigh/Wake Homelessness Task Force

The purpose of the Task Force is to bring together a diverse group of community stakeholders to carry out a number of tasks including, but not limited to the following: Understanding and assessing the current elements of the homeless service system in Wake County Identifying and prioritizing emerging issues related to homelessness in our community (e.g., homeless encampments and enforcement) Making recommendations to local government units and homeless service providers to improve the homeless service system Providing the community with information about available resources that exist within the homeless service system The work of the Task Force is intended to be time-limited in nature with the engagement anticipated to be six to nine months in duration.  Meetings of the Task Force will occur once per month from 10am to 12noon and preliminary meeting dates, times and locations have been identified and are listed below.
