Packapalooza is NC State’s signature all-day block party and street festival, capping off Wolfpack Welcome Week on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026 from 2 to 10 p.m. This vibrant event, held on Hillsborough Street, brings together NC State students, faculty, staff, alums, families, and the local community to kick off the academic year with music, entertainment, family-friendly activities, food, and all things Wolfpack. This year’s festival will feature an eclectic mix of live music and performances across multiple stages, along with a grand finale of fireworks at the Belltower main stage. A cherished tradition attracting over 90,000 attendees, Packapalooza features more than 350 vendor booths and is supported by over 60 sponsoring organizations. Presented by Live It Up! Raleigh Parks’ Moore Square, in partnership with @Get2KnowRaleigh, welcomes back the First Friday Market & Movie Night series for the 2026 season. This free monthly event brings the community together for local vendors, food trucks, live music, and a featured outdoor movie in the heart of downtown Raleigh.
