Piedmont Grassland and Environmental Art Event
Durant Nature Preserve 3237 Spottswood Street, RaleighLearn about the Triangle’s historic grasslands and help install a mini Piedmont Prairie at Durant Nature Preserve. The new grasslands will surround Nature Preserves Artist-in-Residence Scott Hazard’s sculpture, which creates habitat for chimney swifts. Starting at 1 p.m., Justin Robinson and Tara Mei Smith from Extra Terrestrial Projects will share insights on grassland ecology and guide participants in planting cool-season species that will bloom in spring.
