ADJOURNMENT The Raleigh Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial body that acts on appeals for variances, special exceptions, and interpretations in the zoning regulations. Its decisions are final but may be subject to court action. The Board consists of eight members: four regular members and two alternate members are appointed to two-year terms by the City Council and must reside within the City limits; one regular member and one alternate are appointed by Wake County Commissioners and must reside within the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction. Greenway Committee

The Greenways Committee, a standing committee of the Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board, will meet in the Raleigh Municipal Building Conference Room 303 every second Monday at 4 p.m.

Red Hat Amphitheatre community engagement event

Memorial Auditorium 2 East South Street, Raleigh

Join us on September 9 to learn more about the Red Hat Amphitheater relocation You're invited to join us for an information session on plans to relocate Red Hat Amphitheater. Staff from multiple City departments will host this free event in the lobby of Memorial Auditorium at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9. There will be short presentations and opportunities to ask questions about: the amphitheater relocation traffic impacts future plans for the Chavis-Dix Strollway Light refreshments will be offered, and free childcare will be provided by Raleigh Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources staff. Free event parking will be available at the surface lots across from the performing arts center. You will need to walk through a metal detector and have your bag searched upon entering the building. Five Points CAC virtual (Zoom) meeting

We expect to have a police report and a guest speaker from the City of Raleigh, Karen Ray, Raleigh's Customer Experience Manager. And City Council Member Christina Jones will be with us to share news about progress on CAC's and about City Council recent decisions and deliberations and issues before the council. Edie

Southwest Community Engagement Meeting

Carolina Pines Community Center 2305 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh

After four and a half years, we have approval for access to the Carolina Pines Community Center (2305 Lake Wheeler Rd.) We will meet in person, without streaming, this coming Monday evening, September 9th, at 7:00 pm. There will be reports from Raleigh Police Officers and City Inspections followed by social time. Hopefully, we can also return to having a program update about Carolina Pines Park's activities. I have been told that we can also use the Center's freezer. Therefore, I will, as previously promised, donate some ice cream. Please come and help with the ice cream. Since I have no idea as to how many will attend I don't need to be left with melting cartons and no freezer space. This meeting is intended to be focused on sharing interests, and concerns and just reacquainting ourselves with our neighbors. Several of our City Councilors have indicated they plan to attend. Please join this gathering if you can. Hopefully, we will have a good turnout. So much of the World has changed over the last few years.
