Updating Raleigh’s Historic Preservation Rules

A draft ordinance with proposed changes to the historic preservation sections of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) will be shared at two upcoming public meetings:
- Wednesday, August 13 at 7 p.m. – Five Points Center for Active Adults

The updates enhance consistency with state law and fix unclear or imprecise language.
While the meetings are a chance to ask questions and learn more, all formal feedback must be submitted through the Text Change Engagement Portal beginning August 13. This ensures your input is recorded and considered as part of the public review process.
