Streambank Planting at Durant Nature Preserve

March 22 @ 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Join Stormwater staff and NC State Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering extension specialists to help repair a stream bank at Durant Nature Preserve. Volunteers will help reestablish a healthy stream buffer along Simm’s Branch by planting native plants along the bank. Native plants help prevent soil erosion and increase flood resiliency. This is a hands-on activity; volunteers will use small hand tools to cut, dig, and plant.
