Agenda
Possible Discussion Topics:
– Housing needs (further definition of need by housing type: single family, duplex, apartment, condo, townhome, etc.) In other words, besides the obvious affordable housing issue and loss of NOAH, what are folks moving here looking for?
– Current design of commercial buildings in suburban areas – it is obvious that new construction is moving buildings closer to the roadway with minimal setbacks. The concern of this trend is loss of open space for future roadway expansion and green space. This is a significant change to the current landscape of Raleigh with larger roadway setbacks and taller established tree scapes
– Integration of “Missing Middle” into established neighborhoods – what fits and what doesn’t especially with reduced side yard setbacks (tight density).
– Possible outcome of public input sessions from outreach on Missing Middle?
Question and Answer – Planning staff / MCAC residents
