We are improving the drainage on Alamance Drive and would like your feedback on design concerns for this upcoming project. Stop by at your convenience to learn more and provide comments to stormwater staff. Project Background Residents on Alamance Drive and Alleghany Road noticed severe yard and structural flooding, which came from undersized pipes in the area. To reduce flooding, we will reroute the water flow on Alamance Drive and replace and upsize a stormwater pipe under Alleghany Road. We looked at current stormwater system in the project area to determine the design improvements, which are currently being developed. Learn more about the project.

We are repairing Camp Pond Dam to keep the lake, improve safety, and reduce the risk of road flooding in a large storm event. We would like your feedback on the design for this upcoming project. Project Background We are assessing Camp Pond Dam, located on Richland Drive, and will propose safety improvements to make sure the dam complies with all North Carolina Dam Safety (NCDS) regulations. Join artist, Jim Gallucci, for a scratch block workshop at Sertoma Arts Center. Participants will carve their own design into a sand mold that will be cast with molten iron during an iron pour event later this year. Jim will incorporate the completed iron blocks into his design for new art that will be a part of the Sertoma expansion. All materials will be provided. About the Exhibition "Found and Formed" showcases the use of reclaimed, reused, recycled, second-hand, and found materials in art. The exhibition features local artists Kelsey Merreck Wagner, Debbie Secan, ndidi kowalczyk, Karen Christie, Sterling Bowen, Stephanie Witchger, and Andrea Vail. The artwork will be on display from May 3 - July 27, 2025.
