NC Counts Coalition Emergency Meeting on HB99
Hi Friends URGENT, URGENT URGENT!!! It has just come to our attention that HB99 has been filled. Filed by Representative Paré. HB99 — turns Wake County Board of Commissioners races into nonpartisan, single-member districts (currently it’s a partisan, residency/at-large system). We are hosting a special listening session next week to discuss the impact of the voting change and gather initial first impressions on HB99. The meeting will take place on Monday February 20, 2023, at 6:00pm via zoom. https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZckd-mopzgtG9XfHO6oVZY6cH78yDkT1BYx Please share the meeting information below with community members and partners who are interested in learning more about HB99 and its impact in Raleigh and Wake County. Things are moving very fast with the HB99 going to committee on February 22nd. It is our goal to have our advocacy partners break down the Bill on the call as well as share ways to uplift concerns and how to be more involved. We appreciate your support and dedication. If you have any questions or need additional information please let me know. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
