The western corridor will connect downtown Raleigh to downtown Cary. This will mean more frequent service and faster bus transit connections. Station Area Planning New Bus Rapid Transit will attract new residents, businesses, and investment to areas around new stations. The Station Area Plan will ensure that these changes benefit existing residents and businesses, as well as visitors.     As a part of our ongoing efforts to expand our first-response efforts, the City of Raleigh and its partners are working to develop an alternative response program, outside of the Raleigh Police Department, to further address our community’s need for crisis prevention and management.     The National Day of Racial Healing is an opportunity to bring ALL people in their common humanity to contemplate our shared values.  Racial Healing helps build trust among people and restore communities to wholeness so they can work together to change the systems and structures that affirm the inherent value of all people. The Raleigh Human Relations Commission is inviting residents of Raleigh to an uplifting evening to come together, contribute to a collective art project, and participate in healing discussions with their neighbors on how we recognize and appreciate each other.
