The Sustainability Wildlife and Urban Trees Committee a standing committee of the Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board will meet in the Raleigh Municipal Building, 222 W. Hargett Street, Conference Room 303 at 4:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month.

During the March 18 meeting, City Council established a temporary Special Committee to carry out a review of the structure, bylaws, budgets and other matters related to the function and operation of the City's advisory boards and commissions. During the initial meeting of the committee, staff will provide a brief review of the current landscape of the City's advisory boards and commissions and solicit input from the Special Committee regarding its desired scope for the review, preferred review timeline and meeting cadence, and other organizational matters pertinent to the work of the committee. The Fair Housing Hearing Board works to improve public awareness of the City's Fair Housing Ordinance, which prohibits discrimination in housing opportunities on the basis of race, color, religion, family status, disability, national origin or sex. The Mayor's Committee for Persons With Disabilities meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 12 to 1 p.m at the Raleigh Pathways Center. The Police Advisory Board serves as a liaison between the Raleigh community and City Council.
