This program is in partnership with the City of Raleigh Active Adults Program. Ages: All Cost: Free Commemorating 30 Years: North Carolina Museum of History's American Indian Heritage Celebration Kaya Littleturtle Thursday, Nov. 20 Join us for a free lecture at the City of Raleigh museum with Kaya Littleturtle! Coming from a long line of cultural leaders that guided him on his walk as a traditionalist, Kaya Littleturtle is currently employed at the North Carolina Museum of History as the Community Programs Coordinator. He is the lead singer of the championship drum group WarPaint, who travels all over Indian country. Littleturtle is an active member of his community’s traditional longhouse and belongs to the Snipe Clan, one of the seven traditional longhouse clans. He is an enrolled member of the Tuscarora Indians of Kahtehnuaka Territories.

Whispering Branch Drainage Project Public Meeting

Raleigh Stormwater is hosting a public meeting to share information about the Whispering Branch Road and Woodowl Drive Drainage Project. Drop-by at your convenience to share input and hear project details from stormwater staff. Project Background The stream along Whispering Branch Road and Woodowl Drive is causing flooding to residential properties. We will improve the stream and stormwater pipes to reduce flooding.

Whether you have a simple question about how to work your device or have long-term digital goals, attend our drop-in hours to get assistance and learn more. Drop-in hours will be held March - December at three Raleigh locations. There is no registration required for this FREE resource.
