Deep Dive Grant Writing Workshop

Five Points Center for Active Adults 2000 Noble Road, Raleigh

The Deep Dive Grant Writing Workshop is a three-hour session for nonprofit staff to learn about grant writing from the funder’s perspective. The workshop will  focus on writing grant narratives, responding to open-ended questions that funders often ask. Using narrative questions from the Raleigh Arts Commission’s grant application, we’ll discuss effective ways to tell funders about your organization. We’ll cover how to write about your hopes and dreams, your triumphs and challenges, in a straightforward way that helps funders better understand your organization and programming. You'll leave this workshop with new ideas and more effective ways to tell your story in a grant narrative. Expect lots of discussion and learning from your fellow workshop participants. Join us! Event details When: June 24, 2025, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Cost: Free of charge Where: Five Points Center for Active Adults, 2000 Noble Road, Raleigh, NC 2760

West Raleigh CAC

Meeting Wednesday June 25th at 7pm It’s time to meet and talk about what’s going on in West Raleigh! We have a rezoning that our group will be interested in learning more about. The “Well Fed Garden” on Athens Drive has been growing fresh fruit and vegetables for over 10 years and the owners, Arthur and Anya Gordon are seeking a rezoning to transform the aprox 2.6 acres into a multi use property that would include apartments and possibly retail uses. They have a second public Hearing before Raleigh City Council on July 1st and this is an opportunity to hear from them and ask questions as they will join us for this meeting.  We will also have someone from Raleigh Planning to discuss the land uses and how the rezoning affects the neighborhood. We hope you can join us via zoom on Wednesday evening at 7pm.
