Enjoy a celebratory Juneteenth festival with live storytelling, musical performances, food trucks, and crafts for kids in a historic park honoring African American freedom and community. We will have two featured storytellers highlighting the history of Juneteenth, along with other activities! Donna Washington and Mitch Capel, also known as "Gran'daddy Junebug", will entertain and inspire with their stories. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for a day filled with stories, music, food, and connection. In honor of Juneteenth, come ride the Historic Raleigh Trolley for a special tour highlighting downtown Raleigh's Black heritage. Explore the city aboard the Historic Raleigh Trolley to learn more about the historic homes, schools, churches, and businesses important to the capital’s Black history.
