District D Neighborhood Alliance (DDNA) Meeting

Our next meeting is scheduled for August 24th at 9:30 AM at the Thomas G. Crowder Woodland Center with District D City Councilor Jane Harrison. This will be an open meeting so please bring your thoughts, concerns, and updates to share with the group. If you have questions or concerns that need a more immediate response please contact Coucilor Harrison. This meeting will not be available via Zoom. We plan to return to the traditional third Saturday in September (9/21). Look forward to seeing you there!

Walnut Creek Watershed Learning Network – Session 2

The City of Raleigh has recently acquired the former DMV headquarters at 1100 New Bern Avenue. If you did not know, we kicked off engagement by establishing a project working group made up of community members with unique connections to New Bern Avenue, committed to honoring the area's significance. Method Community Picture Scanning

Bring your Photos to Scan and Share with the Method Public Art and History Team In support of the 2022 Parks Bond project at Method Community Park, Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources will be scanning photographs at the Annual Method Days Reunion on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 1:15 to 3:15 p.m. in the Pioneers Building. You are welcome to bring 1-5 photographs, drawings, or documents relating to the Method Neighborhood, Berry O’Kelly School, and the Method Community Park to the Pioneers Building between 1:15 and 3:15. Each item should be flat and no larger than a sheet of notebook paper. All photos will be scanned on-site and returned to you within 10 minutes. All scanned items have the potential to be included in the public art projects and history room at Method Community Park. Ages: AllCost: Free
