The quarterly meeting is an opportunity for staff who manage development, permitting, and text change processes to share relevant updates with the development community. There will be a Zoning Training that will be from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the same location immediately following the meeting. Joint Raleigh/Wake Homelessness Task Force

The purpose of the Task Force is to bring together a diverse group of community stakeholders to carry out a number of tasks including, but not limited to the following: Understanding and assessing the current elements of the homeless service system in Wake County Identifying and prioritizing emerging issues related to homelessness in our community (e.g., homeless encampments and enforcement) Making recommendations to local government units and homeless service providers to improve the homeless service system Providing the community with information about available resources that exist within the homeless service system The work of the Task Force is intended to be time-limited in nature with the engagement anticipated to be six to nine months in duration.  Meetings of the Task Force will occur once per month from 10am to 12noon and preliminary meeting dates, times and locations have been identified and are listed below. Fabricating Reverence: A Reflective Walk & Performance Experience

Thomas G. Crowder Woodland Center 5611 Jaguar Park Drive, Raleigh

Fabricating Reverence, a new performance art piece choreographed and danced by Myra Vincenza, is a collective reflection on loss and grief. Part vigil, part performance, the experience takes place at Lake Johnson Park that begins with a reflective walk (about half a mile) that starts at the Thomas G. Crowder Woodland Center and ends at the Waterfront Center. Fabricating Reverence is presented as part of SEEK Raleigh, an experimental public arts program of Raleigh Arts.
