Our second “Community Connect” event will take place at the Fletcher Academy, 1116 N. Blount Street. Tour the historic school building that has been extensively remodeled to accommodate an innovative school for children with learning challenges. Dr. Paul Atkinson, the school’s principal, will offer information on how the curriculum and small class size helps these children to succeed.
The MCAC will take a summer break from regular monthly meetings, resuming on Tuesday, September 13. In the meantime, enjoy time with neighbors at the annual July 4 parade and a National Night Out event at the Halifax Community Center with an August date to be announced soon.
