SUMMARY:Hybrid Midtown Citizens Advisory Council Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Hybrid Midtown Citizens Advisory Council Meeting\nMonday\, March 23\, 2026\, 7:00-9:00 p.m.\nEastgate Park Community Center\n4200 Quail Hollow Drive \nThis month’s meeting will feature updates on several projects that were initiated in 2025 but are still getting a lot of attention.\nThe first will be an update on Midtown Neighbors United\, organized to advocate for responsible development in the North Hills area of Raleigh. The approval of the rezoning of North Hills was decided too quickly without consideration for city planning guidance or infrastructure sufficiency to support further development. For more detail and to join the many residents that have already signed on to the movement\, please visit the organization’s website:\n\nhttps://www.midtownneighborsunited.org/\n\nWe will also have an update on the Missing Middle case\, currently identified as Sub-0037-2025\, where 16 townhomes will be built by right on two R-4 lots at Anderson Drive and Six Forks. This case was previously denied by Council when presented for rezoning.\n\nIn addition\, there will be an update on the Council-chosen pathway for section 1b of the Big Branch Greenway Connector. This is another case where the Council ignored the area residents and chose a path that floods and impacts the surrounding residents while ignoring their concerns. While the greenway is part of the Midtown area plan\, the route chosen was not that selected in the plan.\n\nThe meeting will continue to be held in hybrid fashion with in-person attendance and virtual attendance using Zoom.\nHybrid Midtown Citizens Advisory Council Meeting\nMonday\, March 23\, 2026\, 7:00-9:00 p.m.\nEastgate Park Community Center\n4200 Quail Hollow Drive \n1)    7:00   Call to Order and Welcome to Midtown CAC\n2)    7:05   Review and Approval of February 2026 Minutes\n3)    7:10   Sergeant Garcia\, Raleigh Police Department\nActivity and Crime Stats Report for Midtown\nQuestion and Answer \n4) 7:30 Midtown Neighbors United Update\nRandy Jones\, MNU Organizer \n5) 7:45 City Council Updates\nMitchell Silver\, District A\nChristina Jones\, District E \n6) 8:00  Updates on Unresolved Issues from 2025: \nDavid Reaugh – Sub-0037-2025\nMissing Middle Case\, Townhouse Additions at Six Forks and Anderson.\nFuture Pathway of the Big Branch Greenway Connector after Council Approval\nof Section 1B through Anderson Forest Neighborhood. \n7) 8:30 Old/ New Business\, Announcements\, Remarks\n8) 9:00 Adjournment \nIn Person Location: \nEastgate Park Community Center\n4200 Quail Hollow Drive\, Raleigh\, NC 27609 \nVirtual:\nZoom Meeting Link:\nAvailable by Request\nVisit our Midtown CAC Facebook page:\nhttps://www.facebook.com/MidtownCAC

Provided signatures are received by March 20\, 2026\, the Planning Commission may consider those revisions in making their determination.\n.\nThe deadline for Planning Commission action is May 9\, 2026.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nE.\n\nNew Business\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nE.1\n\nRezoning Z-35-25 Ligon Mill Road\, West side of Ligon Mill Road\, north of Louisburg Road Intersection (District B upon annexation)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHiram Marziano\, Planning and Development\n.\nThis is a conditional use request to allow for development of up to 180 residential dwelling units.\n.\nThe property is currently under Wake County zoning and will be rezoned to a Raleigh zoning classification upon annexation (refer to annexation petition AX-29-25).\n.\nThe deadline for Planning Commissioner action is May 23\, 2025.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nE.2\n\nRezoning Z-53-25: 5601 Six Forks Road\, approximately 500 feet north of the intersection of Millbrook Road and Six Forks Road (District A)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMatthew Burns\, Planning and Development\n.\nThis request would add to the housing supply\, allow greater building heights\, and increase entitlement for residential\, office\, and commercial uses\, or combinations thereof.\n.\nThe deadline for Planning Commission action is May 23\, 2026.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nF.\n\nOther Business\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nF.1\n\nReport of the Chair\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nF.2\n\nReport of the Members\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nF.3\n\nReport of the Assistant Director\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nF.3.a\n\nReport of the Assistant Director\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReceive as information.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nG.\n\nAdjournment\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Commission typically meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 9 a.m. The meetings are held at the Raleigh Municipal Building (RMB)\, located at 222 West Hargett Street.
