SUMMARY:Midtown Citizen Advisory Council Meeting featuring At-Large Candidates
DESCRIPTION:I have a few updates for you since our last meeting in January.\n\nFirst\, early voting has begun for the upcoming primary. As many of you know\, the only Council seats that will be on the ballot will be the At-Large and District C candidates since there are more than two people running for each seat. With that in mind\, I think it is important to know the candidates so that you can make an informed choice when voting. Our February meeting will focus on the At-Large Candidates with an in-person discussion with all six candidates that are running for that position. This will be an excellent opportunity for a community discussion on City and local priorities\, centering on affordability\, transportation\, and density. The agenda is appended for your convenience.\nPlease do not miss this opportunity to have an open discussion with the candidates. Try to attend in person\, although the meeting will follow our hybrid model of both in-person and virtual participation using Zoom.\nThe Zoom link for the meeting is as follows:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin our Cloud HD Video Meeting\nus02web.zoom.us\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI am also providing another reminder about the feedback request for the planned Green Street Phase 1 treatment of Quail Hollow Drive\, starting with the cycle track application on one side of the street and parking on the other side of the street. I have appended an excellent detailed feedback response from Chuck Newcomer that provides a good example. Feel free to follow up with Chuck if you have an interest. Here is the link to the project page that includes more detail\, a timeline\, and some summary information from the community engagement from last summer. The feedback request will stay open until February 27. Please note that you have to click on “continue” at the bottom of the information page\, then click on “Feedback” to get to the comment space. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQuail Hollow Drive Green Street Phase 1 – Advanced Design Review – PublicInput\nengage.raleighnc.gov\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLast item for now but of high priority. There has been a lot of interest in organizing a neighborhood response to the Council’s recent approval of the North Hills rezoning. To further that effort\, we are looking for someone that can assist us with creating a web page that will be used for information and possible fund raising efforts\, if there is sufficient interest in an organized response. Please let me know\, as soon as convenient\, if you or another acquaintance can assist us in this website creation.\n\n  \n\nAgenda \n\n\n\n\n\nHybrid Midtown Citizens Advisory Council Meeting \n\n\nMonday\, February 23\, 2026\, 7:00-9:00 pm \n\n\nEastgate Park Community Center \n\n\n4200 Quail Hollow Drive \n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n1)   7:00        Call to Order and Welcome to Midtown CAC \n\n\n\n\n\n2)   7:05        Review and Approval of January 2026 Minutes\n \n\n\n3)   7:10        Sergeant Garcia\, Raleigh Police Department \n\n\n              Activity and Crime Stats Report for Midtown \n\n\n              Question and Answer \n\n\n\n\n\n4)   7:30 At-Large Council Candidate Discussion of City Priorities \n\n\n              Community Discussion of Affordability\, Transportation and Density \n\n\n              Guests: James Bledsoe\, Joshua Bradley\, Ms. Stormie Denise Forte\, \n\n\n                            Clark Rinehart\, Sana Siddiqui\, Cameron Zamot            \n\n\n  \n\n\n5)  8:30  City Council Updates \n\n\n              Mitchell Silver\, District A \n\n\n              Christina Jones\, District E \n\n\n\n\n\n6)   8:45        Old / New Business\, Announcements\, Remarks \n\n\n\n\n\n7)   9:00 Adjournment \n\n\n\n\n\nIn Person Location: \n\n\n              Eastgate Park Community Center \n\n\n              4200 Quail Hollow Drive\, Raleigh\, NC 27609 \n\n\n\n\n\nZoom Meeting Link: \n\n\nAvailable by Request \n\n\n\n\n\nVisit our Midtown CAC Facebook page: \n\n\n https://www.facebook.com/MidtownCAC

SUMMARY:Exploring New Project Delivery Methods
DESCRIPTION:The City of Raleigh is exploring new ways to deliver its transportation projects\, and we want your input.\n  \nAs the construction industry continues to evolve\, we recognize the importance of keeping pace with current practices while remaining responsive to project complexity\, market conditions\, and risk profiles. For that reason\, we want your input on our first project using an Alternative Project Delivery method.  \nWe’re having an Industry Day to provide an overview of the program we are considering\, including its scope\, schedule\, and goals for the first project. \nWhen: February 25\, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. \nWhere: Marsh Creek Community Center\, 3050 N New Hope Road \nThe session will include a brief overview of our goals and the factors driving this initiative\, followed by a discussion to gather feedback\, lessons learned\, and recommendations from industry professionals. Your input will play a key role in shaping how we move forward and in ensuring any changes align with industry standards and market realities. \nWe encourage participation from firms of all sizes and disciplines.
