I have provided updates in the past and we have completed surveys to help us guide our further association with the City. Robert will provide an update to those efforts. \nAs you may recall\, all CACs belong to the larger organization\, Raleigh CAC or RCAC. In addition\, Councilor Christina Jones\, is now our Council liaison to facilitate effective communication between our organization and City Council. \nIn other news\, Sarah Shaugnessy\, City Planning\, has provided further information and City web site links about Reflecting Raleigh\, our next Comprehensive Plan update. While I would have preferred an in person update\, she has provided the following information: \n“We have made all of our in-person Community Conversation events accessible online for anyone who was not able to attend. All of the community conversation events were recorded and are available for viewing on Raleigh’s YouTube Chanel. We welcome you and other Midtown CAC members to view them and share your thoughts though our related surveys. I have linked these resources below for ease of access. We will use all of this online community engagement to guide the development of the plan in phase II. \n  \n\nAffordable Housing Summit Recording | Links to Presentations | Housing Priorities Survey\nWeathering the Storm Community Conversation Recording | Links to Presentations | Stormwater Management Survey\nA City in Motion Community Conversation Recording | Links to Presentations | Transportation Survey\n\n  \nIf you wish to speak to a staff member one-on-one\, I would encourage you to attend one of our upcoming Ask-A-Planner events. SUMMARY:Hillsborough-Wade CAC (Virtual)
DESCRIPTION:Hi CAC neighbors\, \nWe have an agenda update for our Hillsborough-Wade CAC meeting this coming Tuesday\, March 25 at 7:00 PM. We will meet on Zoom\, the link is below. \nOur meeting will feature a presentation on AI (Artificial Intelligence). This will be a good opportunity to learn more about AI and how you can use it. \nClick on the below image to watch a 4 minute video about AI. \nAgenda\n• Police report.\n• Update from Hillsborough-Street Community Service Corporation.\n• Presentation about AI: understanding the basics and “how-tos” plus an overview on AI developments and how they impact us.\n• Update on rezoning cases in our CAC. The applicant for rezoning case Z-54-22\, which was voted down by City Council two years ago\, is restarting the process to bring this case back before City Council. Our District D City Councilor led the effort to deny this rezoning request two years ago. Now the applicant is coming forward with some money for the future Smokey Hollow city park and some money for the City’s affordable housing fund. These incentives don’t change the request for 30 stories where 12 stories is already approved for this Downtown Transition area. If approved will this set a new precedent for other Downtown Transition areas? This rezoning location is just outside the eastern edge of the Hillsborough-Wade CAC and is actually within the Mordecai CAC boundary. However\, this case most affects the Glenwood-Brooklyn Neighborhood which is in the Five Points CAC.\nClick here to read the opinion of Glenwood-Brooklyn resident Roy Attride. \nSee you this Tuesday evening\,\nMike \nMichael Lindsay\nChair of the Hillsborough-Wade CAC\nMobile: 919-429-0177\ninform@nc.rr.com \nJoin H-W CAC Zoom Meeting \nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/89408784906?pwd=1tPdfaZbmlWy9jYizM90veyuc8VAoJ.1 \nMeeting ID: 894 0878 4906 \nPasscode: 365664 \n— \nOne tap mobile \n+13017158592\,\,89408784906#\,\,\,\,*365664# US (Washington DC) \n+13052241968\,\,89408784906#\,\,\,\,*365664# US \n— \nDial by your location \n\n+1 301 715 8592 US (Washington DC)\n+1 305 224 1968 US\n+1 309 205 3325 US\n+1 312 626 6799 US (Chicago)\n+1 646 558 8656 US (New York)\n+1 646 931 3860 US\n+1 719 359 4580 US\n+1 253 205 0468 US\n+1 253 215 8782 US (Tacoma)\n+1 346 248 7799 US (Houston)\n+1 360 209 5623 US\n+1 386 347 5053 US\n+1 507 473 4847 US\n+1 564 217 2000 US\n+1 669 444 9171 US\n+1 669 900 9128 US (San Jose)\n+1 689 278 1000 US\n\nMeeting ID: 894 0878 4906 \nPasscode: 365664 \nFind your local number: https://us02web.zoom.us/u/kerIhtFQQS \n\n\n\n\n
