DESCRIPTION:Hybrid Midtown Citizens Advisory Council Meeting\nMonday\, March 23\, 2026\, 7:00-9:00 p.m.\nEastgate Park Community Center\n4200 Quail Hollow Drive \nThis month’s meeting will feature updates on several projects that were initiated in 2025 but are still getting a lot of attention.\nThe first will be an update on Midtown Neighbors United\, organized to advocate for responsible development in the North Hills area of Raleigh. The approval of the rezoning of North Hills was decided too quickly without consideration for city planning guidance or infrastructure sufficiency to support further development. For more detail and to join the many residents that have already signed on to the movement\, please visit the organization’s website:\n\nhttps://www.midtownneighborsunited.org/\n\nWe will also have an update on the Missing Middle case\, currently identified as Sub-0037-2025\, where 16 townhomes will be built by right on two R-4 lots at Anderson Drive and Six Forks. This case was previously denied by Council when presented for rezoning.\n\nIn addition\, there will be an update on the Council-chosen pathway for section 1b of the Big Branch Greenway Connector. This is another case where the Council ignored the area residents and chose a path that floods and impacts the surrounding residents while ignoring their concerns. While the greenway is part of the Midtown area plan\, the route chosen was not that selected in the plan.\n\nThe meeting will continue to be held in hybrid fashion with in-person attendance and virtual attendance using Zoom.\nHybrid Midtown Citizens Advisory Council Meeting\nMonday\, March 23\, 2026\, 7:00-9:00 p.m.\nEastgate Park Community Center\n4200 Quail Hollow Drive \n1)    7:00   Call to Order and Welcome to Midtown CAC\n2)    7:05   Review and Approval of February 2026 Minutes\n3)    7:10   Sergeant Garcia\, Raleigh Police Department\nActivity and Crime Stats Report for Midtown\nQuestion and Answer \n4) 7:30 Midtown Neighbors United Update\nRandy Jones\, MNU Organizer \n5) 7:45 City Council Updates\nMitchell Silver\, District A\nChristina Jones\, District E \n6) 8:00  Updates on Unresolved Issues from 2025: \nDavid Reaugh – Sub-0037-2025\nMissing Middle Case\, Townhouse Additions at Six Forks and Anderson.\nFuture Pathway of the Big Branch Greenway Connector after Council Approval\nof Section 1B through Anderson Forest Neighborhood. \n7) 8:30 Old/ New Business\, Announcements\, Remarks\n8) 9:00 Adjournment \nIn Person Location: \nEastgate Park Community Center\n4200 Quail Hollow Drive\, Raleigh\, NC 27609 \nVirtual:\nZoom Meeting Link:\nAvailable by Request\nVisit our Midtown CAC Facebook page:\nhttps://www.facebook.com/MidtownCAC

SUMMARY:Five Points CAC Virtual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join Zoom Meeting\nhttps://us06web.zoom.us/j/84111555416 \n\n\nHi Five Points:\n \nPlease plan to join us for the March 9th Five Points CAC Zoom meeting.  \n \nCaptain J.R. Manson will give us a police report for recent crime in the Five Points area.\n \nThen we will be joined by Sgt. Madeline Horner and other members of the Raleigh ACORNS (Addressing Crises through Outreach\, Referrals\, Networking\, and Service) team. ACORNS is a proactive unit that works with residents experiencing crises and connects them with appropriate community resources. The team pairs social workers with law enforcement officers to provide support using the most appropriate and least intrusive interventions possible. \n\n\nThis discussion is the follow-up to Captain Manson’s safety presentation in January. During that meeting\, there was interest in hosting a special follow-up session in February. However\, the weather issues in early February created scheduling challenges for me—and likely for others as well. Planning a special meeting later in February would have placed it very close to our regular March meeting\, which is relatively early in March. As a result\, I decided it would be best to continue the discussion at our March meeting.\n \nAlso at our meeting\, we will be joined by Brian Smith\, Natural Resources Superintendent at City of Raleigh Parks\, Recreation and Cultural Resources\, to talk with us about Raleigh’s Biophilic Efforts and Invasive Species Program. \n \nAnd Council Member Christina Jones plans to join us to share a City Council update.\n \nHope to see you all there!\n \nEdie\nChair\, Five Points CAC

SUMMARY:Board of Adjustment
DESCRIPTION:The City of Raleigh Board of Adjustment will conduct a public meeting on Monday\, March 9\, 2026\, at 9 a.m. in the City Council Chamber at the Raleigh Municipal Building\, 222 West Hargett Street. \nFor more information\, please contact Justin Rametta or visit the Board of Adjustmentwebpage. \n\n\n\nA.\n\nCall to Order\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nB.\n\nOld Business\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nC.\n\nNew Business\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nC.1\n\nBOA-0057-2025: 2504 Kenmore Drive\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhereas\, Kathleen Thornton\, property owner\, requests i) a 2’ variance to the side yard setback requirement as set forth in UDO Section 2.2.1.B.3 for an expansion to a detached house\, ii) a 4.5’ variance to the rear yard setback requirement as set forth in UDO Section 2.2.1.B.4 for an expansion to a detached house\, and iii) a 4.6’ side yard variance and a 9.5′ rear yard variance for a permanent generator\, which takes into account that permanently installed generators associated with residential uses must meet setbacks for the primary structure pursuant to UDO Section 1.5.4.D.2.a in order to construct an addition to an existing detached house\, resulting in 4’ side setback and a 25.5’ rear setback for the addition and a 5.4’ side setback and a 20.5’ rear setback for a generator on a .23-acre property zoned Residential-4 and located at 2504 Kenmore Drive.(Amended from previously advertised request)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nC.2\n\nBOA-0001-2026: 2500 Oberlin Road\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhereas\, Beacon Street Budleigh\, LLC\, property owner\, requests a variance in the build-to width and building width within the primary build-to area in an Urban Limited (UL) frontage\, as set forth in UDO Sec. 3.4.7.C\, which requires a build-to maximum area of 20 feet and that 50% of the street frontage be consumed with building width (subject to a 15% reduction if qualifying amenity area is provided in the required build-to\, as is the case here). This requirement is exceeded along the UL frontage on Oberlin Road but along Fairview Road\, only 8.7% of the street frontage is consumed by building width. Giving effect to the reduction allowed by UDO Sec. 1.5.6.C.4\, the building width in the build-to area is reduced from 50% to 35%; therefore a variance reducing the build-to building width requirement from 35% to 8.7% is requested in order to construct a mixed-use building on a .48-acre property zoned both NX-3-UL and R-10 and located at 2500 Oberlin Road.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nC.3\n\nBOA-0002-2026: 2716 Townedge Court\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhereas\, John C.
