The request would increase residential development potential and permit a broader range of housing types. Raleigh zoning would take effect only upon annexation into the city.\n.\nThe Planning Commission reviewed this case at the August 11\, 2026\, meeting. They deferred it to the September 8\, 2026\, meeting to allow the applicant additional time for community outreach.
