The amendment is largely based on ensuring that these sections align with state law; specifically\, N.C. General Statutes Chapter 160D. The text change also addresses staff identified issues in the code that warranted further review and revision. Staff will present the proposed changes and the review process. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, May 3 (Rain Date if needed: May 10)\nNash Square Park\n10 a.m. to noon \nMay is Preservation Month and Bike Month! Hop on your bike for a ride into history. The 2ndannual Raleigh Historic Bike Ride will feature a 4-mile route including stops at six sites identified in our recently completed LGBTQIA+ Historic Context Study! RHDC volunteers at each site will share a brief history of the property. The stops include: \n\nNash Square Park\, NW corner (200 S McDowell St)\nSir Walter Raleigh Hotel (400 Fayetteville St)\nCameron Court Apartments (905 Hillsborough St)\nWomen’s Culture Collective Coffeehouse (119 Hawthorne Rd)\nPullen Memorial Baptist Church (1805 Hillsborough St)\nLegends Nightclub (330 W Hargett St)\n\nThis ride is being held by the Raleigh Historic Development Commission (RHDC)\, in partnership with the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission (BPAC) and Raleigh Sister Cities. \nCome Prepared: \nThe ride will begin and end at the northwest corner of Nash Square Park. Riders are encouraged to bring their own bikes and helmets.
