This option does not apply to the COA Committee and quasi-judicial hearings. \nResidents may phone in ahead of the meeting and leave up to a three-minute voicemail message. RHDC’s unique code is 1887. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nD.\n\nNew Business\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nD.1\n\nAnnual Officer Elections\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStaff Contact: Collette Kinane\, Senior Preservation Planner \nPer the Rules of Procedure\, the RHDC shall elect from its membership a chairperson and vice-chairperson\, who shall serve for a term of 1 year\, beginning on July 1st of each year. Officers shall be eligible for reelection and have the right to vote. The nomination and election of the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson shall occur during the regular June meeting of the Commission. \nRecommended Action: Open the floor for nominations then vote to elect the Chair and Vice-Chair. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nD.2\n\nAnnual Retreat Planning\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStaff Contact: Collette Kinane\, Senior Preservation Planner \nThe RHDC’s annual retreat is scheduled for June 16th at 5:30 PM.  The purpose of the annual retreat is to accept the past year’s annual report and to establish the work program for the upcoming year. \nRecommended Action: Share discussion item suggestions with staff. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nD.3\n\nDesign Guidelines for Raleigh Historic Districts and Landmarks\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStaff Contact: Collette Kinane\, Senior Preservation Planner \nIn advance of the upcoming Historic Design Standards update project\, staff will lead a guided discussion of the current design standards used to review Certificates of Appropriateness.  Staff will provide an overview of the current Design Guidelines for Raleigh Historic Districts and Landmarks and the structure of the new design standards.
