The property at 904 Mordecai Dr is a noncontributing surface parking lot.\n.\nHiram Marziano\, case planner\, will make a brief presentation on the application and its current status. The nomination packet and review criteria are attached.  Staff will make a brief presentation. \n  \nThe State Capitol Holiday Inn was designed by Lundgren and Maurer of Austin\, Texas and completed in 1969. The nineteen-story building consists of a circular five-story base with lobby and parking garage\, circular thirteen-story guestroom tower\, and cantilevered top floor restaurant that provides panoramic views of the city. The State Capitol Holiday Inn remains an important physical representation of a Modernist hotel in downtown Raleigh. \n  \nRecommended Action: Determine if the State Capitol Holiday Inn meets the criteria for listing in the National Register of Historic Places as stated in Section 8 page 12 of the report and if so\, recommend that the property be submitted for listing in the Register. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nE.3\n\nDemolition By Neglect: 524 Euclid St\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStaff Contact: Collette Kinane\, Senior Preservation Planner \n  \nStaff were alerted to the status of 524 Euclid Street\, a contributing property in the Oakwood Historic Overlay District in an informal meeting with representatives from the Housing and Neighborhood department.
